Free Talk: Opportunities and risks of AI for our mental health

Mind Meets Machine – opportunities and risks of AI for our mental health.
“Hey ChatGPT, I’m not feeling well.” – More and more people are using artificial intelligence to deal with their personal challenges and mental health. ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and others are taking over the roles previously held by best friends, families or even therapists – despite this technology only having been around in this form for two years. We have allowed Large Language Models (LLMs), i.e. the technology that makes AI work, to enter our lives so quickly – as though it had always been there.
But what happens when mental health meets artificial intelligence?
In this interdisciplinary panel talk with Oliver Herrmann (Telekom), Anna Kopp (Microsoft) and Moritz Hagedorn (Fürstenberg Institut), experts from the fields of mental health, AI development and corporate practice will join forces. Together, we will point out how much potential AI offers for stress reduction, self-organization and motivation – and where risks, such as information overload, constant availability and emotional alienation, lie. Using examples from daily corporate life, scientific insights and practical tips, we offer some food for thought on how managers and employees can make the most of AI to ensure that productivity and mental balance go hand in hand.
The aim: a conscious, healthy, and sustainable approach to technology.
